Frame of Mind

We were proud to deliver an eight week animation project in 2024, funded by the Community Investment Board and delivered at Focal Point Gallery. The project brought together young people aged 9 to 16, creating a supportive and creative space for them to explore animation, storytelling and self expression. Across the project, participants experimented with a range of animation processes, developing their own ideas, characters and short films. The sessions encouraged collaboration, confidence building and creative risk taking, while supporting young people to learn new artistic and digital skills. The finished animations celebrated the talent, imagination and voices of the young people involved, and highlighted the importance of giving young people meaningful opportunities to create and share work within a cultural setting.
