Calling KS2 teachers!

Join our ambitious new project for London Primary Schools entitled An Animated History of London.

Animating Education is preparing a funding application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for a 2 year history themed animation project for London primary schools.

Designed for Key Stage 2, schools will receive 6 free stop motion animation workshops per class (up to 2 classes per school), and a free workshop at one of our partner London Museums.

Children will explore London’s rich and varied heritage through museum visits and research lessons in school, bringing their findings to life through stop‑motion animation using paper cut‑out techniques.

The end of the project will culminate in a fantastic celebratory screening at a major cinema in London.

Our partner museums will act as a regional London hub for the schools, and final themes will be decided when all the schools are on board.

Confirmed partner museums include:

Bruce Castle Museum – Haringey

The Cinema Museum – Southwark

Brixton Windmill – Lambeth

The Grant Museum of Zoology – Westminster

See our recent project with a similar theme we ran in Enfield last year

This is a totally free project with all costs and materials covered.
